Modesto, CA – Congressman Josh Harder today announced he has earned the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Congress. The Chamber represents businesses of all sizes from across the country.
“We need more good-paying jobs here in the Valley – we’ve been left behind for too long,” said Congressman Harder. “Before I ran for office, I made my career helping small businesses grow and create jobs. It’s important we have people in government who get how hard it is to run a business and who bring that commonsense with them to Washington.”
“The Chamber endorses pro-business leaders in Congress and vigorously supports policies that advance economic growth, help create jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility,” said Tom Donohue, Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Chamber of Congress. “In challenging times, we are reminded of the importance of having leaders who understand the genius of the American system of government and free enterprise and who are willing to tackle the hard problems that confront our nation.”
Earlier this year, Congressman Harder was also awarded the Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award by the Chamber for his support of policies that protect America’s free enterprise economy. He was one of only 24 members of the House of Representatives to be recognized by the Chamber with the award.
Historically, the U.S. Chamber has endorsed Republican candidates, and in a major shift, awarded Congressman Harder the endorsement.
